What's in a Docketbook Docket

A Docketbook docket consists of various components that contribute to its functionality and structure:

  1. Action Menu: The Action Menu is a versatile feature that appears throughout Docketbook. It allows you to perform actions such as sending the docket to the customer, downloading a PDF version, sharing it via email, or deleting it.
  2. Tabs: Dockets are organized into tabs, each containing different fields. This tab-based structure ensures that each section of the docket is presented on a separate page, making it easy to navigate and manage the information.
  3. Docket Template: The layout and structure of the docket are defined by the selected template. Different templates can be used for different types of work, providing flexibility and customization options to tailor the docket to specific requirements.
  4. Customer: Every docket is associated with a customer who is responsible for the associated billing. The customer's information and details are essential components of the docket.

To complete a docket, it is typically recommended to proceed from left to right across the tabs, filling in the necessary fields. The final step involves obtaining the required signatures before selecting the "Send" option from the Action Menu.
